Fans of today's music can't even begin to understand just how far Prince would go to push the envelope back then, to be new and different and make everybody go "Wow. He did it all the time and fans paid good money to see him, you had to live thru it to believe it. See, this is what happens when we get brainwashed by the church and Sunday school teachers with all that garbage about "thou shalt not dress effeminately" - people such as yourself saying, "no wonder people thought he was gay". I'm not defending him or anyone else, but I am AWFULLY tired of the projections and assessments (another way of being JUDGMENTAL) that people just ain't go no business bringing up.

You got that right, dayclear. I think it's because he wears suits and such all the time, and doesn't dress anything like the way he did back in the day. Today's fashion has got NOTHING on what I and kids in my class wore for fashion. Plus, I just can't wait until about 20 years from now, when kids look at their parents wearing pants that sag down to the knees and big ass belt buckles and say, "Damn, ya'll didn't know how to dress yaself!"
