Please define "acoustic".
Are we talking acoustic guitar and/or acoustic piano? Vocals can technically be acoustic, a la' the great a capella "Solo". Someone mentioned the instrumental "Venus de Milo." I didn't know there was an acoustic version of this. "The Word" has an acoustic guitar IN IT, but does that make it acoustic? And on that token, "Don't Play Me" has an acoustic guitar in it, but also some electronic synths. So if "The Word" is no acoustic, then maybe "Don't Play Me" isn't truly acoustic either. Can "acoustic" have animal samples? The animals themselves are acousitc beings (non-electronic; living), but the recording and replaying (sampling) of their noises is not acousitc. But then if you were to say that, humans are nothing but animals, so a human voice couldn't be on an acoustic song if it goes through a microphone... | |
