A Prince for All Seasons

So I was thinking today of how much I'm looking forward to some nice warm spring weather, and I immediately thought of how I'm looking forward to listening to SOTT, Lovesexy, and Prince (the album) then. Those are spring albums for me, even though I enjoy them all year-round. I do it with other albums too. Purple Rain is a fall, and Dirty Mind is a winter. I don't know why. Does anybody else do this?

I asociate Prince albums mostly with the season I got into that particular album.

1987 is all about riding my bicicle to school in summer, the best songs of that time on my walkman; mixtapes with Madhouse, Jill Jones, Cameo, Inxs and of course, Prince.

1988 is militairy service with the Crystal Ball outtakes, also on tape and my first live tapes. Also summer

I find that very interesting. I suppose I have listened to music moreso on mood, than weather, however, I would sometimes want to listen to something slow or blues when it was raining. And I have to admit that I usually avoided listening to "Another lonely Christmas" unless it was in December. I do remember playing "ALC" one summer.
