I finally saw it and I have to say that it was much better than I expected it to be. I really thought it was just a beautiful video all around and it went along so well with the the song. I need this video on my ipod now! .

I finally got to see the video and hear the song...Yeah, it's pretty much Smokey Robinson like -the song sounds like something he would definately sing. The video is ok. It's so dark and blue that I feel like falling asleep. There should've been a rain storm or something in the video because that was the impression on how the look and feel was. Over all, I was glad to see him anyway. I would love to see it on actual tv. Fair Use Laws. Learn them and then come back and have an intelligent, informed conversation rather than going on a fan rant.
I case you haven't realized this, people ARE getting the video anyway. Do you know what that means? If people want to see it, they will. ITS A PROMOTIONAL TOOL. No artist makes money off music videos and Prince isn't going to, either. The only time videos make money is when they are put in a compilation and sold in stores (or sold by bootleggers). That's a record industry reality that everyone EXCEPT YOU seems to understand including artists.
The video was shown on B.E.T. Its NOT all about youtube and other places, its about PEOPLE wanting to see a VIDEO. That's what this whole thread is about. Can you take your nose out of Prince's butt for 2 seconds and see that? According to your logic, people should NOT be able to see a video that was released publicly and if they missed it, its too bad despite the technology available for them to see it. You need to come on out of 1985 and catch up.

The video was boring. Very boring. The song is even worse. The best thing about this video was the banging girl with the banging chest.

I'm just not feeling it. It's Prince sitting there singing a song walking down a street, sitting in a room, sitting on a chair blind folded...nothing special.

I love the man...I'm normally the first to defend him when I hear people talk shit but I just don't like this...or the whole P.E. album. I hope his next album is better because I'm losing interest, fast.

Today I watched BET Now, and they did not show the "SHOE" video at all. They seemed to show a lot of commercials as well, more than they did last week. BET Now was not even on yesterday, not sure what was up with that. I don't think I'm going to waste my time watching BET as much anymore, if they're not going to show his video. Besides, I have another way of viewing it anyway.

I don't think this as anything to do with Fair Use Laws in P's mind. I think P and Universal are looking to be compensated when people listen or use his music. Since they are not getting any money they don't want anybody viewing or listening without their control or permission. (A yes YOUTUBE and P org are not making any money either)

It is obvious that this video is going to be mainly viewed on BET. That is the way P wants it get over it. It is not about anybody having their head up P's ass or living in 1985.

This is reality this is they way it is going to be. Get your head out of the clouds and move on with your life.

I also informed you that you could find the video and view it if you wanted to do because unlike you I know that P can't stop people from viewing bootlegs or music videos. All he can do is try to stop it. I know he can't so I cannot figure out why you cannot see that and stop ranting.
