Best back-up vocals I remember someone doing this thread a long while ago and I found it particularly interesting.
The thing was that I hadn't heard enough of Prince's material to really have a good answer for this question. Some of his songs have the most amazing back-up vocals and sometimes, they are what make the song "When u were mine" is a perfect example of this. These are all Prince's vocals, but aside from the organic guitar sound, the vocals made this track 4 me when I first heard it and it became my favorite off the record. Later on in The Revolution's career is probably where he came up with some of the best... or should I say, Wendy & Lisa gave him the most amazing back-up vocals on the ATWIAD and Parade albums. Especially Pop Life and Anotherloverholenyohead Let's start making a list of great numbers with impressive back-up vocals had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

I like to have a specific opinion about a song or the music, but that becomes difficult when ya just like or love everything. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...
