But The Time are performing with Rihanna (hey, its 2004 all over again!), and as she's the bigger star, he'd have to be presenting her.

Wasn't Jacko rumoured to be doing a stint?

His last Grammy performance with Beyonce was so spectacular, I don't know if he can beat that...

She's going to be performing with Tina. Wonder who he'll perform with?

And he definitely should not do anything he did with Beyonce (Let's Go Crazy, PR)

Beatles tribute and Foo Fighters collabo would both be feasible mouth-watering options, but I'm only dreaming... cloud9

that per4mance with beyondboringdiva was bullshit..track down his per4mance from 1985 and that's the last time he set that grammy stage on fire nod

Yeah, I have that 1985 performance recorded on something around this place. It was definitely amazing and beyond compare to the Beyonce duet.

But the Prince-Beyonce collab is in the collective memory of the public and I have to disagree. It was not bullshit. Their chemistry was hot. It was everything he wished Vanity and Appollonia could be. And people were talking about it the next day, and the days after that. SNL even forever branded the two together with "The Prince Show" skits after that. razz

It was a defining moment in contemporary pop culture.

I heard that Amy Winehouse could perform via satellite. If true, I want Prince to introduce her and then save her from herself.

a tribute to The Beatles? Wasn't there some talk when Prince was in vegas about him rehearsing or maybe recording some Beatles songs?

Might he join in on to "St Pepper's " tribute like he did at the RRHOF "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" George Harrison tribute?

Exactly, that’s what I'm talking about. It would be great 4 Prince 2 join in the tribute

Shame it won't be broadcasted in Amsterdam...would love to see it!

I don't think he's performing but if he does perform, the LAST song I want Prince to do is Purple Rain. He will really look like a has been, especially since he did the song 4 years ago with Beyonce on the Grammys.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Just a small tidbit (which probably belongs in the non-Prince forum) but Amy Winehouse won't be there as her visa application has been declined.

The US reversed their decision and will allow Amy to obtain a Visa.. however, she's still not coming.

Even being able to see Prince and hear him speak is enough for me! He doesn't need to perform mushy mushy mushy

Grammy's Prince's Chair Assignment

My local news just did a piece on the Grammy's and they had place holders for music stars and right up in the front row was Prince's name and pic!

Both Dave Stewart (Eurythmics fame) and Ringo Starr are sitting behind and him and conveniently Justine Timberlake is sitting right across the aisle from him along with Tina Turner

cant wait to see him!
