This seems like a composite of several interviews that I've read on her.

Is it just me, or did her parents pimp her out?
She's a really sweet woman. I really like her. I haven't finished reading it, but she's really talking nicely about him. What a sweet heart. I'd be punctuating my words with swears just for the phone thing. What a wierd relationship. [Edited 2/4/08 17:58pm] | |

Seems like her parents were like, "here Prince, take her!" But its nice to know that she didn't bitterly bash him, she seems quite honest about the whole situation. We all know the little man is a perfectionist, so why wouldn't he want a wife who does everything she tells him? Especially picking out her clothes and shoes for the day. Someone really close to Mayte must have written that, someone that knew her as well as she knew herself, u know, a soulmate like.
But i don't think its strange that Prince didn't take her phone calls while he worked. An Artist or rather a musical genius, would not want to be interupted while working, because it ruins a train of thought, or work flow,or he didn't want her to interrupt his "True Muse", the one Prince really always has and has had, before, during, and after Mayte . Besides, on Mayte's behalf and all the women out there, it's Not unusual for a man to want to work without the interuption of his wife, gorgeous or not, just for the sake of getting work done. Just wondering how come no one ever accuses Mayte of trading on Prince's name like they do with Manuela? I mean, come on, this article must be pretty recent as it refers to Charlie Wilson's War (even though I swear I've read it before) and yet the title makes obvious reference to the fact that she was Prince's ex-wife. Firstly, that was what, 10 years ago, and secondly, I thought he was  when they were married.
And Mayte is a "fashion ambassador" (whatever that means)? But if Manuela has a candle/incense line, people scoff and say she's not qualified? . [Edited 2/4/08 21:36pm] | |
