I truly respect what you have written in defense of another human.
It is said, in the bible that we are to LOVE ONE ANOTHER, even our enemies, as hard as that may be... Your thread I agree with. I have often seen cussing and "major" dis-respect towards him and others, including myself and have found first and foremose I bounce it off; however, those not, as strong are being victimized like a psychic vampire draining them of vital etheric energy. They are innocent and should not be used in such manners. Truly, if any level of class is to be written about Prince.org - things need to be upgraded a bit with respect to all. That is up to the owner and the mods, who should be letting the ownder know. If it not being done, then people are letting the ball slip... and someday just might slip into a black hole and dis-appear. Until then... my wish is for more respect for all, equally. Therefore, thank you and in respect, peace be to you. QuietSeven. http://wwwmyspace.com/singmia 1 More thing, Anyone calling Mystifying1 a name is only reflecting their insecurity with themselves to want to TRY and hurt another, so as to make themselves feel better about their inadequacies in manners.

One of the conclusions I have come to here recently is, alot of those who are overly critical of P and his music, are in fact the real fanatics, the so called fams here show their love, the so called hardcore old and new skool, offer debate and something called constructive criticism and sometimes abit of humourous banter which is very welcomed and gives all a laugh.
Then comes the 80´s fanatic, in their purple bib and start belting out their sermons from the highchair, like someone deranged, who spent the last 20 yrs in the captivity of the luggage compartment of the Purple Rain tour bus. If Prince wishes never to release an album again, so be it. I think most of us, would be very happy to call it a day, with only 1% of what he has accomplished and add to that, there is enough material out there to keep us going for a very long time. Let the Hunt begin..... This is something I posted on a similiar thread, but I think it is appropriate here as well If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

co-sign!! I started a thread that didn't really get that very far called "Live and Let Live" http://prince.org/msg/7/259971 I don't think people got the right idea. I posted it because people keep trying to say that they want Prince to do things their way. From what genre he uses or the type of music he writes about or just making more appearances or going on tour. That really annoys me, but I'm barely allowed to say I have a problem with people demanding these things of Prince because I hadn't been around him that long. But my respect for him makes me think this way and makes me want to tell people to stop demanding him do things their way. In the end, he'll still do it his way, which is part of why most have come to respect him, but they turn hypocritical when he doesn't act the way he's supposed to. He's not supposed to act anyway than how he feels and not everyone is cool with that. Prince isn't a trained seal, guys, so stop expecting him to become one just to make you happy. Thanks 4 the opportunity, mystifying1 had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

That's seriously what it feels like lately. I have nothing against people wanting Prince to do their fav. genre in his music. What irritates me is just the way they demand he act the way they want him to. The way they state their opinions is almost like they're not giving him any choice. "Do things this way or you'll lose another fan." had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

"Do things this way or you'll lose another fan." That's just people feeling like they can dominate the man. They are delusional in thinking that what they say is going to make him cater to their wishes. They don't seem to realize that this sort of thing makes Prince do more of the things they don't want Prince to do. Prince is like everyone else, he doesn't want anyone telling him what to do. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

That's exactly my point. espeically that last part. Almost like nothing he does lately is good enough for them. Which is more or less the old-school people who've been with him a long time. Respect leads me to believe that I don't want to tell Prince what to do because I'm just grateful he's still writing music so I'll be able to see his process instead of just having the past. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. I remember as far back as 85, after less than one yr of being a fan, thinking that he sometimes needs advice about what he does musically, but I later forgot about all that, but even back then Prince stirred alot of debate about his output, but that was naturally limited to a circle of friends and letter columes in music magazines. Today, with websites such as the Org, the scope for opinion is much wider, with posters from all over the world. I have rarely been to the forums of other artists, at least not in an indepth manner, but I assume they have the same issues. If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Prince himself isnt paying attention to that (like he told Tavis)... so dont allow that stuff to bother you .. skip over it .. ppl have been saying stuff for over 20+ years.. nothing's changed ..

Every once in a while, I'll take the initiative of beating up a Prince fan over in the org parking lot.
Now, if any one of you reading this turns out to be my next target, please please don't take it personally. I'm only trying to keep you fans, as a group, honest. Reporting me to the moderators will not only prove to be a hollow endeavor, but also, will only incur upon you a follow-up beating, but this time, one that will be fueled by my wrath. So don't any of you waste your time, ya big buncha milquetoasting crybabies.
