I think he is referring to track 4 (listed as Segue) of Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic, which was silent in honor of the passing of Miles Davis. Although, when I put the cd in my laptop, it shows up as 8 seconds... (I also seem to remember reading somewhere that Prince said Miles taught him that silence in music--or the space between notes--was just as important as the sound; which would make a tribute of silence fitting.) geek

I always thought that if this silence had been actually recorded with Prince and Miles in the room, that it somehow would have changed the 'value' of the track.

Easily the best four seconds of the album.
