Planet earth gatefold cd version Just for info, I was out at a disc store today in Germany, and to my surprise they stocked PE, it is a gatefold cd like 3121 and has a hologram cover, has anyone else seen this, cant remember anyone mentioning it.
out of interest I looked it up at amazon.de and also found a review from a popular radio station, that described PE as genius and out of this world, I was totally . I will post the link, for those of you who can understand german. http://www.swr3.de/musik/...index.html If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I'm getting on to amazon then.
Regardless that I have about 16 copies of the album anyway, I want a hologram digi-pak! For the collection - you understand? Life's a Parade! LoveLife, LoveSexy! | |

i was just reading a comment Roodboi said on the "whatcha hate about P " thread, [quote]although it's certainly more my problem than his, I hate that I grow a lil' less excited about his new music with each album...
Funny, makes me think of today in that shop, seeing the gatefold version of PE, with the hologram cover, although I have this album about 15 times already, I still got a relapse of the dayz back when I went to the big stores on oxford street in london, and unlike the stores in ireland, which would have artist prince, and then a batch of his albums, these mega stores had the batches listed down to albums and 12" records, an entire aisle long. Ah those where the dayz, i cant imagine what it would have been like to have lived in london in the 80´s. , damn I am getting all melancholy If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Well I grew up in London in the '80s and I can tell you that my average saturday.... would start at the Virgin Megastore Tottenham crt rd, then round to the little record collector shops behind it on Hanway st - then up to HMV oxford st - the t-shirt places on carnaby street - round to Tower records at Picadilly - then back round to the HMV on Bond street - up to the other Virgin Megastore at Marble arch - and then check out the bootlegs in the shop that was in the basement of the old Kensington Market!!! - then.... to finish off I'd go to the record and tape exchange in Notting Hill Gate, especially the store that had the rarities and collectables!!! I also remember the rows of Prince vinyl 12", and how my heart would jump when I came across a cool Japanese 7" import or a U.S Long box cassette single!!! Oh the old days huh? Life's a Parade!
