PRINCE #3 most influential artiste of all times...

..on a website called "how good is this" Prince is ranked as # 3 most influential artiste of ALL TIMES(YES ,OF ALLLL TIMESSSS)

He is right behind Jimmy Handriks #2.... intersting though ,in the top ten there's no Beatles,Rolling Stones,Led Zeppelin,MJ,Elvis, James Brown(who by all means should be ranked #1)...

Even though Prince is right up there ...i still consider it a lame list ...But I do agree with the Prince part (though #1 in my book).

Any website that has "all time" rankings but consider artists whose music is more than 50 years old can't be taken seriously. Prince is definitely my most influential artist, and I think he's the most influential artist to come along in the last 30 years, no doubt.

But does this ranking really think Prince is more influential than, say, a Muddy Waters? A Louis Armstrong? A Gershwin? A Handl? A Bach? Or for that matter, a Shakespeare, Picasso, Ellison, or other non-musical artists? Negative.

Maybe if the list was, "most relevant musical artists of the last 50 years," I could go with it.

Jimmy Handriks

Ah, yes, Jimmy Handriks. Wasn't he the famous Triangle player responsible for hugely influential Triangle-Rock fusion music of the early 1970s? He went on to inspire people like Piles Smavis, Mavid Hoowie and Carlooos Shantina? lol
