Ah thanks, but I've kinda shot myself in the foot here as they are my 2 favourites post '80's.

3121 is without a doubt brilliant with Fury and Black sweat, The dance, Lolitta etc..... but Gold.....well it was a whole different experience for me.

The build up anticipation to its delayed release because of the start of his feud with Warners.

TMBGITW being released prior to the album and being his first U.K number one, and then buying the Beutiful experience from his shop in Camden, and then eating mozzerella and tomato baps in the shop sandwich bar while they showed The beutiful experience film on screens (I used to make those baps last forever!)

I love 3121 but Gold truely was an experience for me. An experience only bettered by Lovesexy!!!!

Gold for me!

The one with the housey/funky beat behind it? No sorry, I like the arrangement of the original, and it definately suits the flow of the album better...

But, I do really like that version as well....

From memory I'm saying yes. Sorry at work, can't check to confirm. I'm pretty sure it was on the E.P.

My first reaction is: how can u compare 3121 to TGE? TGE is one of my favorite 6 albums.

But it kinda boils down to what I'm in the mood for.
3121 does have some great songs on it like The Dance and The Word... Love is also really good cuz it uses a mix of old (record scratching) and new (the techno beat) sounds and can't deny its fun to sing along with.

TGE does, however, have some of my favorite all-time songs of his.
Shh has some of the most beautiful guitar I've ever heard.
And of course, Gold is a song that I can always relate to and no matter what I'm going through, it makes me feel better.

Gotta give it to TGE on this one.

I think 3121 as a whole is a fantastic album. I'd probably choose that, but The Gold Experience has some just great songs.
