What if... What if prince does a 3121.com on us? I mean, keep us waiting and waiting, maybe for a year or two or three from here on, for something to happen and not do anything at all? What if he doesn't resurface? What if he's had enough? Ah, I hear y'all say, music is in his blood, he can't get away.
But what if he's sick of the biz and the constant pressure of pleasing nitwit fans? What if even he doesn't know yet whether he'll return? He does have this ability to surprise... Funky alien

Absolutely!!!! I've been a fan for over 20 years and there is still lots of stuff of his that needs/could do with alot more attention. And the amount of un-released material will more than satisfy your needs for many years to come. Life's a Parade! LoveLife, LoveSexy!

Me: Bye! I think it applies here too! Prince has pulled his disappearing acts before, the only difference is this time around, he's been such a prick as of late, only the die hard, die hard of the die hardest of his fans (Sexxydancer for example ) are going to stick around waiting, hoping, wishing and praying for his return. I mean, he's the most prolific artist on this planet. Plus, the enormous amount of live bootlegs. Man, we are so blessed.

I remember when he first started his websites receiving an email from the site requesting that all members send them all the Warner Bros released singles etc. (like the back to back pressings) so they can be destroyed! I was like WHAT? Are they serious? I replied stating that even though I understand what Prince is doing (understand, not agree!), regardless of what you say I have invested time and good money into these purchases and what makes you thing I'm just gonna send you them. What do I get to compensate? They didn't respond!!! F@cking cheeky Buggers!!! They want it they can come and knock on my door and ask for it, and then see how quick before I poke them in their eye! AND....Like come on. Lets not be too naive to think that Prince has no control over bootlegs getting 'out' of his vaults.
That man has been making money on the sly since the beginning of his carreer by selling his music on the black market as to sideline his recording contracts. I wouldn't be surprised that it was the high demand for his bootlegs and the craziness of the black album that gave him the confidence to walk away from his contracts - because he knew that we were already buying as much of his shit that we could hold of any way!!!! Hmmmm. I might have to have this as my second thread!!!! Life's a Parade! LoveLife, LoveSexy!

I guess we should just be thankful, that we have something to look forward 2...and I can't express more, how an artist that is relaxed and happy, will deliver more to a project, as with anything that has careful consideration. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

[Edited 1/21/08 5:21am] Not just die hard fans, the UK fans and those who travelled there to the O2 are still interested as he got us all worked up and we would like more if there is any, if not I'll just listen to the multitude of top tunes hes already given us I have nothing against him, why be a Prince fan and then be shocked by him even what led to PFU, he always does what he wants, yep it might go too far or be OTT but he wouldn't be the star he is without that aspect to his nature, its just sometimes it works out for the best and with PFU it had the opposite effect. He said on the stage at a London aftershow he wanted to be able to do normal things again. I'm not 'feeling sorry' for him but although some would say he chose to be famous, yep true. He invites attention by going out with twins on his arm to fashion shows etc... but I'm glad he has that part to his personality otherwise we'd never of heard his music if he was too insecure. I think he was meant to be a famous musician due to the mix of good talent and quirky personality he was given but even though they have lots of money etc... fame is such a superficial entity that I can imagine it becomes quite dull and then you can't blend back into society and give it all up when you have lots of fans obsessed with everything you do. His life is difficult so if hes taking time out now, good on him, its HIS life to make that choice. Prince fans don't own him like some think...

It also amazes me how upset people can get at someone they've never met or know... its a bit odd. I can understand people getting upset if they had their video targeted by web sheriff or their pics or site, but if it hasn't happened to you well yep you can not agree but get angry and then slate Prince constantly, it all seems quite sad at the end of the day.

I guess ...but it's not as sad as it is, at the end of the day, to constantly slate someone you've never met when they, as you put it, constantly slate Prince, someone else you've never met! Is it?
