REBIRTH OF THE FLESH rehearsal appreciation i just heard this a few days ago and have had it on non-stop since. the studio version is a classic for sure, but i'm really feeling this version alot right now. the guitar and sheila on the drums . seriously, so cool. the background vocals and everything, such a spirited rendition. i the sott/lovesexy band. this is awesome, even with the motherfucker part edited out. For all time I am with you, you are with me.

This was arranged so hard and funky ! I wish it had been an aftershow staple (included on the Small Club boot in an alternate performance universe) My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

This is an awesome version. I particularly like it when the guitar solo comes in, the feed back sounds beautiful as it just rises to the fore in time to introduce that sick solo. Prince is in good spirits too, for instance when he calls out some of the the band for mising the cue to sing - "thats right, we say it LOUD" or when the song is through he can be heard to say "Good!.. pretty good"

It has the same clean sound as the Lovesexy rehearsels that are circulating, but it could just as well be the SOTT rehearsels. So it is 87/88. I edited off the weird banter at the beginning though. And I still prefer the studio version.

It was labeled as "Rebith of the flesh rehearsal 88" But that still doesn't say anything

You can hear someone (Levi?) say 'Domo arigato' so I'd say it was a rehearsal for the Japanese leg of the Lovesexy tour late '88 or early '89.

It has NOTHING on the original Camille track.
Dayum, that, to me, with Databank and Chocolate and Do Yourself A Favor, is my most wanted track I want in GOOD quality. I wish I could spank Prince for holding onto that. AND All My Dreams AND Wonderful Ass AND IN A Large Room With No Light. Dayum, Prince; U a fool. Locking up them tracks.
