why are people on the org so argumentative and negative.. prince is homeless, mj is a pedophile, britney will die etc etc. can we not be a bit more positive. Face facts, p is stinking rich, mj was found innocent and britney is just an attention seeker!!!! nobody here is argumentative or negative.. we asked you where you got your information from.. that's argumentative? .. you have no proof or any link to back up what you're saying.. so.. if not.. then your information is false .. what relevant organisations are you referring to?

That HBO special would have been nice...but they wanted him to sign a contract that wouldn't allow him to perform on TV for 1 year. He should have did it because I don't recall him doing anything on TV... I wonder what folks get paid for the Super Bowl? Prime aka The Kid

I'd love to know where people get these figures from as I have never known a tour accountant to divulge them
Even with best guestimates there are things such as agents fees, management fees, security etc to be taken out And thats just a few of the expenses, agents alone run to between !5% and 25% I guess its interesting to some people to speculate, but at the end of the day the only person whose business it is is prince

Haha... interesting posts but...
am I the only one who doesn't care about how much money he's worth? His money never really mattered to me because you can't put a price on talent. But just to play along, I can't throw out any random number... but given how successful he is an artist and how long he's been in the business... He's gotta be worth a lot It's like what Tricky says while waltzing with Mary in UTCM. Tricky: Here's a girl who's smart & pretty Mary: And rich Tricky: I don't care 'bout that! Honey, I really don't had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

The tradeoff is that you're performing during the most-watched event of the year, so it's free publicity. Prince did see a spike in album sales after the Superbowl, so he made money that way. According to tour statisticians at Billboard Boxscore, Madonna sold out 55 of 56 performances worldwide, with an average nightly take of $2.23 million. And that was by far the biggest live success of the year, despite comments from Elton John that attempted to discredit the pop superstar for lip-syncing parts of her show. There should be one, because Prince grossed over $87 million the last time he had one in 2004 with the Musicology Tour that went on a run of 96 performances. WB would only get some loot if they used the ACTUAL SONG... but writer's fees aren't that much. he also started the VEGAS thing, which apparently was fairly lucrative. I don't know if it was 50-million of lucrative, but...

didn't I read at one point when they did all the calculations Prince beat net wise even madonna's tour. I thought I read it came down to one set of tour trucks... prince's tour basically ran leaner cuz he had less stuff to carry... thus less logistics needed to tow a set to one venue while the other was being used.
Normally you have one convoy of trucks at the present venue, The second set at the next venue and the third enroute to the venue after the next. He only used two sets of convoys somehow due to the sparseness of his set. I may have the jelly 4 ur peanut butta but u got 31 hours and 21 minutes left.

NUNYA!!! Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.
