I would say now...$150 Million ... He has spent so much money that he is no where near where he could be. Paisley Park was always losing so much money unitl Diamonds and Pearls; $1000's per week, folks were let go, etc. In '95 the rumors started again because there was a long period of time he didn't have a lot coming in and he was spending crazy money. He spent / blew a lot on C. Electra and other artist that never panned out. He got about $10 Million for Emancipation and $11 million for Rave but up until Musicology he wasn't banking a whole lot. He was never on the Forbes list except fpr a few time. Think about this...$50 Million isn't a lot after Uncle Sam, band, cooks, servants, lawyers, JW people get their cut.

If his royalties were major, I doubt he would have done the "Hits tour" or did a birthday party or the starf*cker promo gigs.

the early 90s are a long time ago. things were bad then.. but that was 13 years ago. since then he earned around 50 million in 2004, around 50 in 2006 and last year he earned around 10million for the 02 shows, plus las vegas i'd say another 5 million plus sales of planet earth plus back catalogue. easy 25million.
2002 was also a mega year, think he earned around 45 million.
He earned 11 million up front for emancipation in 1996, that doesnt include the money he made for chaos and disorder, girl 6 and the tour plus back catalogue.
his property investments have prob made him a lot. id say he's got to be worth between 250-350 million

You'd think all of that matters, but those figures are thrown out as the take, not HIS cut, and they are a bit deceiving like reported record sales.

When you also consider that he's not eating, living, or shopping like the rest of us, whatever his cut is can disappear quickly like MJ's cash.

He'll never be Gary Coleman, but someone like him could end up in the dreaded upper middle class(celeb nightmare), if he doesn't watch everything closely and follow the James Brown guide.

ok.. please explain to me this.. he doesnt owe a record company (like other artists do) .. so.. even if he did have to pay lawyers, PP employees, band members, .. i dont think he'd run through money just like that .. yes i know about the past.. but brother just bought a $30 Million dollar house.. (according to another thread) .. sounds like he got some stash put up somewhere..

Asking the same... confused

A few years back they said he gets about $5 Mil per year from his royalties.

We have to remember that if you make $40,000 per year doesn't mean you take home $40,000. He has assistants, lawyers, chefs, bodyguards, band members, ex-wives wink , property, plane tickets (or private planes), limos, clothes, Paisley Park .... it all adds up.

Please don't get me wrong...he has money but he is no where near where he could have been because he has spent so much on his PP and it's artists.

Regardless of what contracts are involved it takes a hella lot of money to do an arena tour or even an O2 stint. Think about the promotion alone. It's not as if he had Chelsea handing out flyers and working for beer and pizza.

I don't know exactly how much he's learned from the past or just being in the industry. He has his stash and his investments(I hope), but he's not counting the dollars when his private chef makes dinner. I'm sure if someone even suggested something like that he'd have them dragged away and beheaded.

His tours are not self-produced/promoted (except Jam of the Year/Hit and Run). I'm sure AEG puts a nice chunk (.5 Mil per concert) in his wallet.

I would put his net worth at 100 million. It could've been alot more if he was driven by money. His catalog alone could be exploited (commercials, jingles, movie soundtracks, etc.) to sell to an investment group for a couple hundred million (Bowie, James Brown). If Britney still pulls in $700,000 a month anything in pop entertainment is possible. We would be suprised by all the revenue streams.

Prince turned down a few million to air a concert from the Musicology tour on HBO. If your desperate for cash do you turn down that kind of money?

Does anyone know what he was paid for the Super Bowl?

I have no idea what that means.....

The band who played the London shows were not on great wages so that didn't cost him much and AEG picked up the tab on most of the expenses etc

Some of his staff such as his PA and security are on retainer but that doesnt amount to much

He is still quite comfortable I suspect

I never said he should be driven by money or that he's desperate for cash, but I think he eats it occasionally to prevent a Hammer. He may not sell songs to Burger King, but doing the Hits tour and using AI as well as Beyaki for promo was his way of going that route.

While my net is nowhere near worth as much as Prince's,
it is still quite a collector's item.
And even if it wasn't, I don't care.
I keep it more for sentimental reasons.

im just quoting the figures that were put out there by the relevant organisations who list this kinda shit.

why are people on the org so argumentative and negative.. prince is homeless, mj is a pedophile, britney will die etc etc. can we not be a bit more positive.

Face facts, p is stinking rich, mj was found innocent and britney is just an attention seeker!!!!
