What's Prince's Best Duet? I've been diggin' Yo Mister alot lately with Prince and Patti LaBelle. I can't believe that song is from 1997! I thought it was more like from maybe 1987!
But in any case... I'm not saying it's his best duet... in fact it's probably not even considered a duet... he just sings background... I'm just enjoying it because it's probably BEEN since 1997 since I heard it. But anyway... Prince's best duet... in my opinion... is... Love Song with Madonna What's yours? The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else!

Diamonds and Pearls
Does that even count? I know it's cheesy as hell, but the last few seconds of that song makes all the cotton swabs fall out of me. I turn into a big puddle of goo. Not his best though [Edited 12/25/07 13:23pm]

y'all are gonna chew me up over this but my fav is "My Computer" with kate bush
altho everyone claims they can't hear her she's all over the track, altho her vocals have been washed through a vocoder, admitting. i love the subtle way her pressence flows through the track as a beautiful and serene backdrop to prince's words. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

My favourite is his live version of You're still the one, sung with Marva King.

[Edited 12/25/07 7:12am] That was my favorite song on the "Rave" CD. But, what about "Erotic City"? Does that count as a duet, since Sheila did the co-lead vocal and chorus of the song? I thought "Beautiful, Loved And Blessed" w/ Tamar would have made a good single from 3121. This isn't really a duet, but did P really play guitar and keys on that Stevie Nicks song, "Stand Back"?

Not counting Forever in My Life, where he duets with himself almost, I'll say U Make My Sunshine with Angie Stone.

Patti released "Yo Mister" on her "Be Yourself" CD in 1989. (I think you may be thinking of her "Patti Labelle - Yo Mister" release from 1997) MantuaPharoah said: What's yours?

it isn't but i love it anyways. it's a cool song. what's with patti's "but cara told me to REMIND him that she was only 17", it's sounds funny. p isn't really good at "duets". either he feels the need to take over or it's just the people he does them with. for example: take me with u. apollonia ALMOST screwed that song all up. ("just take me with u, whoo, hoo hoo ). For all time I am with you, you are with me.

it's Nikki's song... Push n Pull .. they did it live on the Alladin CD ..
err rather.. i meant to say.. 'understand' what they're saying.. i had to pull the lyrics up to know what they were both singing.. [Edited 12/26/07 1:11am]

Nothing on Rave counts (for me, anyway) as most of the collaborations on that album wash out the collaborator's bits.
