How many married fans, invited Prince to your wedding?

My X and I were married in 99' and were divorced in 01'. Believe me, that's a good thing....However, we invited Prince and Mayte to our wedding...They did not come...
I thought it was funny to invite them, because they were the only onez invited...I thought it would be a cruel joke to play on my x-husband...But they had to go and ruin it for me, by not being the only ones to come to Maui. cool

A lot of people invite Prince to their wedding.. because they sense a certain closeness to him.

However when I got married I was very young and married my sweetheart (we are still married). I did not send Prince an invitation, it was only family. biggrin

well see this post on the issue :-
http://prince.org/msg/7/194810

Reproduction :

I have an interesting incident to relate.
I live in India.
I had sent my wedding card to Prince's address last year,
I did not have his complete address so I simply wrote "Prince and Manuella, Bridle Path, Toronto, Canada",

It came back to me a few months later with many comments and scribbles from the Canadian Post guys.
The first scribble was a big question mark, then some other person with a pencil had commented "Address ?" (if I remember correctly !), then someone had put an arrow mark and written "The singer Prince".
Then there was a comment "Refused by addressee".
SO there you have it, it actually did reach Prince's house (thanks to Canadian Post) but was refused by his staff maybe.
SO I deduct from the incident that he does not encourage direct mail.
I had sent one card at the Paisley Park address too but got no reply though.
I have kept the card unopened somewhere, maybe I should dig it out, maybe it becomes a collector item one day - a letter / card that managed to reach Prince's house

I didn't think of inviting Prince to my wedding before, but since Tame gave me the idea, I think I want only Prince to come to my next wedding!

Yah know, I jest when I say stuff like that. And you just coming in this forum and attack everyone now. I think your beef was with someone else, but now here you are attacking Tame and others who had nothing to do with your original beef. You're just coming off as a crybaby and tattletale.

Why do you feel that you need to prove your point any further?

Just live, and let live!

i think people need to stop turning these discussions personal, stop cross thread posting and take a chill pill, stop acting like you have to defend your forum's cliques and get over whatever animosity they have towards each other.
