If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

barf totally, gone are the dayz when Rolling Stone was a respected form of education in the music industry, it like the gold digga music industry sold themselves out yrs ago, i find wikipedia is now the greatest medium of educating oneself about the music industry, along with some the threads put on here from time to time wink

i admit it's not the best guitar work or solo out there or of Prince's, but i
always get happy when Prince gets props from the world out there. i'm listening 2 it now and the rhythm is also funky...there's also more than 1 version of the song. Plus, look what he did w/ it live at the O2...there's so many ways 2 approaching this groove ya'll.

i would have picked all the midnights..., personally. good to have him on the list, anyway. cool

they're right about jay-z's roc boys. i said myself that was the song of the year. american gangster for album of the year, also. surprised party life wasn't on the list too. both classics, imo. oops, i forgot. no hip-hop heads on the org. sorry.

Just that Rolling Stone is noticing Prince now is a plus.. When he wasnt on their guitarist list was stupid. eek

How can you ignore what he has done in the last 4 years guitar wise? Not some clip of some crack head having a pretty good night 35 years ago.

I don't disagree with the vote... I always liked Guitar. My disappointment is that the rest of the album isn't more rock music. As soon as Future Baby Mama hits, the album goes off the deep end into lame r&b territory, which is so beneath Prince it's ridiculous.

It doesn't deserve it, in my opinion. Every other song on Planet Earth (bar "Future Baby Mama") is much better.
