People on here say that it has the same melody in the chorus to Purple Rain but to me, not really. Sometimes on here folks give Prince too much credit for things. Some people think I'm kinda cute

There is an obvious similarity between the end of Purple Rain and "Like You'll Never See Me Again" But that's not necessarilly a bad thing. It's a good song. "What kind of fuck ending is that?" | |

I have u 2 know that The New York Times stated the song was "distant cousin" of Purple Rain....so what does that say for Like I'll Never See You Again. It's very clear there was a Prince influence/connection. It's no secret that Prince and Alicia admire one another and their music. IMO is a good thing.I am hoping for a collaboration some day.
