I missed the SOTT tour because he cancelled the one night at Wembeley Stadium in London due to possible bad weather, as there was torrential rain for days in London, and didn't re-schedule. I also remember that the night he was supposed to play, it was warm with glorious sunshine  . So I had to makle do with seeing the movie with about 100 other fans in the Dominion Theatre in Tottenham Court Road (anyone else remember that?).
So I'd love to have seen a SOTT gig, and also the Parade gigs in London which was his first appearance in the UK since the 2 Dirty Mind gigs he did in the early eighties. | |

Any of Prince's Tours I'll be honest here. I always was a fan but not as true as a fan as I am now. Someone please let me know when he comes back to the states so I can look it up. SOTT Diamonds and Pearls (I would be able to hear Rosie Live) Although I enjoy the stripped down concerts like One Night Alone and Jam of the Year, I think Prince is at his BEST when he does SHOWS. LoveSexy,SOTT, Diamonds and Pearls, were SHOWS. I think his days of tours like that unfortunately are over. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin. | |

For me it would be the Paisley Park performances in late October and early November of 2000. Prince had been playing at lots of parties that year. He was in an extremely funky music making mood. In late October, my friend and i were getting down to some amazing live sounds. When i felt my hand accidentially bump someone i turned to find Prince and i couldn't believe my eyes were staring into his. Since then it feels like i'm having separation anxiety. the job i took that prevented me from going back to attend those all nite parties at the Park has been nothing but a BIG headache. Sure the bills are being paid but it makes me wish that there was someway for all of us dedicated Prince music lovers to earn a wage getting down in funky town. Think of it, we could dance all nite long.  Our booties could be funk metors for the band to watch and use to perfect their funked up sound.  | |
