I was browsing through the xtras section of the npgmusicclub.com and it struck me that ONA... Live Box Set is mentioned only in this partucular section and in the npg newz. It led me to a conclusion that the set might not be released to retail at all! Maybe Prince wants to sell it only via the club?! That would be a great idea and make the ONA... Live Box Set truly exclusive. What do you think?

Nope, don't think so. They already released press statements, he will perform on Jay Leno (on his show!) and it even was reported on CNN.

it says on every music website that it will be in the shop this fall after npgmusic club surfers get it first.i dont think it will hit shops until mid december or early january.and im sick 2 death of having to wait for so long.

It had better appear in the shops or else I'm gonna hop on a plane and bumrush Paisley Park

he is trying to piss us off so we will join the npg club and buy it direct.i will try and be patient as i prefer the old fashioned way of buying records.the official release date will be a last minute thing,guaranteed.

I can't wait for it myself; my membership expired last month and can't afford to renew right now, so I'm just waiting for it to come out on retail... hopefully soon!

I surely hope he releases it to the public. Its all good that the members of the club get to hear it first because that's what being a member is all about. But for his fams outside of the club and he do have a lot, we still deserve to be able to buy his new stuff also. And if he doesn't release it that's where the bootlegging comes in cause we would do anything to have his new music. But I hope it doesn't come down to that.

This does annoy me. I mean Im sure there are a lot of people who would love a copy of his ONA but would not want to join NPGMC. It seems like commerical suicide, who the fuck is gonna pay $100 or £60-70 just to get hold of an album. Then he moans on about bootleggers, so is it anywhere wonder why they do what they do? Sure its fair that club members should get a copy be4 it hits the shops but 2 exclude everyone else who doesnt want to join or cant afford it is a really bad move.

Whats the difference between ONA live 3 CD Box, and the One night alone CD solo and piano? can you get this only if you are a npg member?
Is it worth joining? Allthough it is late november?

ONA... Live Box Set is a release documenting the recent One Nite Alone World Tour. And you will definitely get it if you join the club.
One more thing: ONA... Live Box Set might also be available only for the club members. But no details regarding the retail release of the Box Set have been confirmed so far.

Well, if that release date is true, they must have shipped it out already without telling us or ar really very close to do so. Guess I know that if any non-member has this in his/her hands before the members get theirs, some people will raise all living hell.

He's gonna be on Jay Leno on Dec 13th. Probably, the box will be released the same week.
www.hmv.co.uk has Dec 2nd as a release date in Europe.
