Just seen the Te Amo Corazin video for the first time Shit. What a melancholy ... thing... can't think of the word... brain exploding.
The 'Prince' character appears so alone and lonely... How ... thingy... actress, name escapes, persuaded him thuswise is amazing! Also - thing to note - how have women fallen? 80s/90s women empowered, etc... members of the band, writing songs, etc... now, merely eye-candy and, in this video, even though he's working with a female director (Salma Hayek... remembered now) the women dangling off the perches looked simply like decoration. Not on, frankly.

"Te Amo Corazon" is a beautiful video...Makes me sleepy.
I don't really understand your second sentence...."How....thingy...actress, name escapes, persuaded him thuswise is amazing..." Could you elaborate? "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I've felt the same about a lot of Prince's work. Most of the time he does at least focus on the beauty of the female form (fetishising) rather than the sexual organs (a more blatant form of objectification to my mind), but things like 'Gett Off' made me feel sick. I'm a feminst working with a lot of feminists and a lot of us like Prince despite it. Odd really. I'm looking out for a purple dolphin.

Isn't one of the people on the perches a fella?

I dig Prince that video...
ah, I'm terrible... having my eye on a man who's older enough to be my dad This video's just one of those guilty pleasures, I guess. Allows me to watch the expressions on his face and those beautiful eyes... Black Sweat gets me closer... but here, its much more romantic. And I dig when Prince is being the romantic. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

This is my favorite of the recent videos. He should work with Salma again. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

It's the last good video he did. That one and Black Sweat. The rest have been crap! Christian Zombie Vampires

I still say Prince puts a spell on people because so many just don't know what it is that makes you not be able to take your eyes off him. This video mesmerizes me!

Indeed, I like that video a lot, and it definitely sold me on the 3121 idea. I think a lot of his post 93 video work has gone underrated because of all the political drama.

Not on, frankly. Love this video too! And the video did give the impression of being lonely and elusive (is that what you meant by the actress escapes?).

from an artistic point of view, i love the colour combinations and the way shades are used in it. deep blues seem to come out.

Tame; I meant that I was amazed how Salma Hayek has persuaded Prince to allow his 'character' in the video to appear so lonely, also most desperately so, with the last shot of the projected 'date' on the wall. It isn't something I would have expected Prince to be so ready to display as a part of his persona, though exceptionally 'mature' of him to do so.
Beautiful video. | |

The video definitely compliments the song. Beautiful stuff. I just think the song was a bad choice as a first single.
