That is my exact thought. Prince must be able to look at a piece of piano sheet music and recognize middle C. Beginning students, recognize the notes after a few lessons. | |

It's one thing to be able to play something that's complex, and another to actually be able to read/write it. Also, you don't need to be able to read music in order to receive an honorary doctorate, just exhibit an "outstanding" display of musical ability worthy of recognition. To receive an actual doctoral degree in music would basically require a knowledge of reading/writing music. I am MrVictor.... | |
