Since the day I saw what he could do and his dedication to his work, I've always respected him.
That still hasn't changed because as a musician, I still respect him as much as I have, maybe even more because I know better what he can do with his work.

I still respect the musician/the man behind the music because that's how he should best known. No matter how good or bad you think it is, let his music speak for him.

You could say he doesn't deserve the respect with what he's doing. I think he's doing it so his work will be respected and be viewed the way it should [regarding videos on YouTube, etc.].
In a way, he is kinda demanding our respect cuz if we don't give it to him, he'll just continue to walk all over the people who've lost their belief in him as a "decent person." No matter how you slice 'em, the videos belong to him and by doing this, other artists will respect him for taking a stand against privacy.
