Possibe Landmark Litigation Hello friends. When one goes to see Prince in concert, that is a strict rule against ANY type of recording, documentation etc. This is usually posted on signs at venue entrances and I think may have been on tickets. So, if any video or sound clips or pictures are taken--Prince has a right to have them removed. Having such footage or sounds obviously was against the rules he had set in place by renting the venue.
Now, if a picture, footage, sound clip, or any documentation has been gained while he was in a public place, ie--airport, club, streets, malls, etc., he is facing a very uphill battle(and will probably lose). We can take photos in public of objects and record sounds, unless other wise stated for a particular reason and a certain amount of time. I hope his legal eagles are telling him this. No judge will rule in his favor on the public side of his arguement. Notice no other entertainer(movie, sports, music) have spoken on his behalf. There is or has to be another reason for this action. I feel his has been irritated for some reason and is over reacting. OR, could it be mouse milk. Stir up alittle controversy to gain press coverage(no such thing as Bad Press) before a announcement of some sort. Things that make u think. | |

He can't stop people from talking about him but, he could go after something in writing that is defaming. | |

As a statement in a public forum without a preceding IMO, it may well be. Besides, I think it's untrue.
