PUCLICITY STUNT! I honestly think he does a lot of things just to get his name out there and keep people talking about him.

He may be irrational and self-serving, but I don't think he's stupid.
He has to know this is not good publicity, and the whole "all publicity is good publicity" crap was disproved during the symbol years. My take is that he might have miscalculated the backlash, or that he knew what was going to happen and just didn't care. Either way, I don't think he's just trying to get noticed. | |

Prince would have released a new tune eventually anyway, it probably only took him 15 minutes to write this one, and knowing he really doesn't care anyway. Prince has fans that don't even know what the internet is and therefore don't care. | |

Any publicity is publicity. But the cease and desist is real. Look at what happened to all those great sites before the L4OA squashed them. Despite what happens next, even if this is publicity to rile up the hardcore fans, what will he do to top the next promotion? Have church revivals at Paisley Park?? Discreetly come to selected few fans houses to meet and greet them personally? Announce that he is running for President? What will be next? Im completely and utterly lost on all this. I think he does not like people talking badly about him or his music... he is just thin skinned and won't admit it. As far as his pictures, I don't know why he does not want them on the internet... maybe it is a Michael Jackson complex he is developing...  | |
