The local radio station actually played it a couple days ago....I couldn't believe it...I'd never heard it before and I really dug it, it is an excellent song! (And, yes at times I still listen to the radio, especially when driving to work in the morning because the DiskJockeys are really funny on the station I listen to.)

I'm guessin that little bit in parathensis is directed towards me cuz of your Controversy thread But yea that's really weird, most stations around here just play kiss, I wanna be your lover, When doves cry etc. And The One is one of the few highlights on that album. I dont listen to it much tho..

not crazy about the song.i think it kinda meanders a bit too much.my fave off nps is "come on".just posting cuz i'm happy 2 see someone is actually talking about his music for a change around here.

I mostly hear just Purple Rain but if it comes on while i'm outside like it did yesterday while I was in the supermarket, i'm singing it outloud like i'm hearing it for the 1st time!
