no...he makes great music, great live shows...and 3121 has some nice free stuff on it.

i know some of u might be pissed off right now but maybe theres a positive outcome from all this i really dont think prince hates his fans maybe well have something to look forward to at 3121 when this is over and just dont know it yet | |

I just hope he doesn't give up altogether now but at the same time he can't bully sites to take off stuff that is legal anyway. He chose to be famous, now he can't take all that back.
He was amazing in London this summer, it was great, out of this world those aftershows. I would never take them back. Just hope this doesn't threaten the next leg of the tour... | |

I don't know if I'm pissed....yet, but I'm definitely irritated. I know Prince is going to have fans regardless of what he does but I just don't understand his motives. I don't think now is the time to be all mysterious. It's no longer cute, Prince. I understand protecting your music, I wouldn't expect him to just give something away. I even understand taking some of the music videos down (even though I wish he would make them available for purchase). I don't understand the point of removing pictures of himself. It comes off as narcissistic and egotistical. You can't change what you did in the past. You can take down as many pictures & videos as you like but your past still existed.
It doesn't make sense to try and remove fansites. As a performer, I think that would just be bad business. I've been a fan of Prince for nearly 25 years. I'll admit I skipped out on him in the mid 90's but since I've become a member of this fansite, I've gone back to see what I missed. My fellow orgers got my juices flowing when they would talk about how great some of the albums are. I started to look for the music videos for that time period which further interested me in those albums I had missed out on. Most importantly is Prince's music which is why I'll always be a fan but to be honest, I probably wouldn't have known about Planet Earth if I hadn't come to this fansite. Prince's fans are his word of mouth nowadays since he does little to promote, in the states anyway. These fansites are free promotion for him. My only hope is he starts to make that website of his awesome. Shake it til ya make it  | |

No - If he produces an album and I like it, I buy an album. If he does a show and I want to go, I buy a ticket.
If he ends up closing down all the fan sites, it will not affect me buying albums and seeing shows. I am only here cause the org is here, if it wasn't I wouldn't be.
