Prince is a beautiful poet. When I look back at purchasing, "For You", and all of Prince's music as the years went by, I can say that as some may stand in an art gallery and admire a painting, I have looked on every Prince song and have admired that Piece of work differently, as each song has it's own emotion.
I have to say, that Prince has always struck a chord in my heart with the way he has said, "I Love" in many ways. Prince has said a lot of what has been in his heart over the years...However, when you look at all of Prince's material, you find that Loving, the world, animals, a friend, or the best old fashioned, love that a Man has for a Woman...Prince has been a beautiful poet. Overall in appreciation, I believe Prince's Career, rides on the same sweet, musical and lyrical vibrations, as..."The Greatest Romance that's ever been sold." Prince is a hopeless romantic...wouldn't u agree? "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I certainly do agree that Prince can write a love song, but something's missing because i watch what he DOES, not WHAT he says, and they are ywo different things. Prince says I Love you to his audiences a lot at his shows but he does not treat his fans that way.If he passed the same people standing in line at his concerts, he would't even stop to say 'Hello to them, even a dog will wag it's tail.

Prince is definately a very good wordsmith - he is a Gemini after all!!! "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift - that's why they call it the present." -RW Emerson

Yep - contrary buggers us Gemini's Since Geminis are a mix of the yin and the yang, they are represented perfectly by the Twins. The Gemini-born can easily see both sides of an issue, a wonderfully practical quality. Less practical is the fact that you're not sure which Twin will show up half the time. Geminis may not know who's showing up either, which can prompt others to consider them fickle and restless. They can be wishy-washy, too, changing their mood on a simple whim. It's this characteristic which readily suggests the Mutable Quality assigned to this Sign. Mutable folks are flexible and go with the flow. Further, the Twins are adaptable and dexterous and can tackle many things at once. It's a good thing, too, when you consider their myriad interests. The downside of such a curious mind, however, can be a lack of follow-through. How much can any one person do, anyway? I like Gemini's. Stay out of their way, give them lot's of space, don't try to control them, and they'll be your loyal friend for life (and no, I'm not a Gemini).

i agree Tame, Prince is a quintessentially ROMANTIC musician.
that's why his fan base is 80% female, IMO. that's what WOMEN want. da man knows ALOT bout the female species. quin·tes·sence 1. the pure and concentrated essence of a substance. 2. the most perfect embodiment of something. 3. (in ancient and medieval philosophy) the fifth essence or element, ETHER*, supposed to be the constituent matter of the heavenly bodies. *(Gemini is an AIR sign) heck, my last beau got me a ready-made $7.50 bundle of crap mums on V Day. instead of being jealous or threatened by Prince, men should try to learn somethin' from him. thanks for the topic.

Going out on a silly limb, no intentions of astrologically belittling anyone, just to make that clear...
Maybe a Gemini, needs a ram, to push the masculine side of the twin, into the open arms of the female. wink wink. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

This talk of Geminis and yin/yang
that was a thread idea I wanted to start for a while... but my head hasn't been quite right lately as it is. I'd like to have my say, though. Prince is definitely a beautiful man, a beautiful poet and a beautiful musician. But he's mulit-talented. I've said in one of my poems that "he's an artist with a poet’s heart And a poet with a musician’s power" He can make poetry out music itself. I didnt even like electric guitar before I hear him play "Purple Rain". But he can make his guitar play the most beautiful poetry that can never be spoken. With songs like "Man O' War," "Shh," "Purple Rain," and "Gold," he has his guitar speak the emotions within his heart without him having to say a word. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Sorry, not to offend you, because I don't know you but a specific Ram is as selfisch as a specific Gemini, very concerned about themselves, could that be good? Thank god everyone has a different upbringing and their own character. A Gemini goes well with a Virgo I guess, a Virgo sticks to it's partner but has some characteristics like a cat. And a broad interest in things. And no, I'm definitely not a Virgo. O, and yes, I think he is a hopeless romantic. Well said!! [Edited 10/27/07 14:26pm]

Sorry, not to offend you, because I don't know you but a specific Ram is as selfisch as a specific Gemini, very concerned about themselves, could that be good? I would agree, but didn't want to comment, realizing that if you talk about enough astrological signs, eventually everyone would be offended (which is certainly not my intention). But considering an Aries, the pushing would most definitely NOT stop with getting the masculine side of the twin to do anything positive. An Aries will generally push until the other person is out the door. And a Gemini certainly doesn't respond well to being pushed.
