Something old. "A Purple October" "A Purple October"
If a wild panther were to cross your path And meow you into an October wrap When a howling wind, blows from the crypts May sharp fanged kisses engrave your lips Are you in the mood to suck some purple blood? Or whip up a purple stew? Imagining all of this purple stuff is just The thrill , you got it in you. May this thirty-first, kind of thirst Be a blackjack of hearts twenty-first You see there is something amusing About Love's magic, you are gonna need to learn. Purple October, you've got me wishing, I could scare you to death with a "boo" Send indigo shivers down your spine Or casting a lavendar missing me spell on you. I bought a lonely ticket to this October bash, I was gonna go as a casperly host, I invite you, "nowhere to be found" Cuz' I'm screamin' with a purple ghost. October 23, 1990 T Please, by all means, appreciate the light heartedness of something that I wrote a long time ago, and thought that I would pull it out of an old notebook, to share with you guys, I'm hoping the moderators do not nonsense me, here...just trying to donate a shade of color, in honor of our purple hero. Actually GoldiLocks, I did rearrange two to three lines last night before I posted the old poem and the Blackjack line was the first to be suited for the poem, the other two lines were adding the indigo and the lavendar to it. Thanks for liking it...I really like that "Halloween" in the stores, has become cuter for kids, because I really don't care for the Hollywood scary masks of it all, and candy giving is out of control....I don't acknowlege the original meaning of this pagan ritual...I just kind of look at it as a time for kids to have fun...although, three years ago, I gave away tooth brushes...the next day, I found a handful of these wrapped brushes in the street....If anyone shows up at my house that night, they are gonna get a toy, from now on.
