...people in this forum have run out of things to say about Prince. Lately there have been some stupid, idiotic stuff posted on here. It used to be exciting to visit here to find out when the next show was or how to get the hottest boot. I don't care what color his hair was, how many teeth he has or who he is dating. It's about his music and intellectual conversation, dammitt!! I loved coming on here to get the other side of reasoning besides Housequake and the defunct NPGMC. I think alot people have forgotten that in the Org.

Flame all u want. Im tired of coming here and seeing stupid crap posted on the Org.

Wow someone eles who sees through all the rediculous claims, and accusations that have no real proof to them. I have at times spoke my piece about this very subject, if we are not hanging around the man on a daily bases we cannot possibly know who he is or what he is doing. But this is the price of fame, when you are out in the lights, so to speak, seems everybody thinks they know you, based on some songs or misconstruded comment in a interview. I like anyone else do not always like what happens with some decisions he may make, but we all have to make them. I think we need to give the man a break, after all most of us are not trying to run a multimillion dollar business.

Be the source. Don't complain but start your own intellectual conversations.

Sometimes I think that it is just nice to have a place you can attend from home, and intelligence when it comes right down to it, is just the wisdom to love someone that offers a different perspective from your own.

Take into account the fact yer now an old-skooler here on Org. When you first joined, everything was fresh and fun. There is a new flux of people onto this forum everytime Prince is in the news, and it is all new to them.

So indeed, try to find new ways to look at Prince's music or to raise a fun topic without rehashing old stuff.

I've been feeling it for the past couple of days now. Luckily I've found something to keep me busy (does anyone else here read anymore? )

Honestly, it's not just everyone else. I've got nothing going on up here. It's been pretty crazy lately. First I'm get flamed left and right because of how I post and what I post about.
Then when everything's calmed down again... nothing in my head seems worthy enough to start a thread on other than the albums themselves.

And because I respect Prince so much, I believe I should only start threads that make people here say "I Wonder U" to him. There's a lot of Prince knowledge out there that I haven't even gotten my hands on yet, so I know that not everything has been posted about here. There's always something else.

I think the only thing that can save the boards from an oblivion of boredom is my thread on "Parade"... or if I started another "Which albums should I get" thread... but I don't even want to do that because I already know the last 2 that I want for my collection. And I can't get those until xmas rolls around.

And after Thanksgiving, I'll probably be coming here less and when Christmas comes, I'll disappear for a month when I go home for the holidays (I'm not allowed on here over there).

But I'll see what I can do.

There's not much to talk about over here unless there is a new album out or something. That's why the "Music: Non-Prince" section is always fun. However, it's starting to get flooded with Michael and Janet Jackson threads to the point that it's sickening.

tends to happen when no music/tours happening or in the near future....we need some funk to get everyone back on track

It seems that just as we all request different music because it's what we feel at the time, it's the same with threads. Sometimes the most idiotic thread does the trick. Sometimes they just seem tired. But right now, I could use one...the more idiotic, the better. Maybe I'll start one.

We just come here for fun, no one is breaking any rules.

Prince is just adding to the silliness in some of the threads by annoying some of his fan base with his anal requests.

He isn't touring the US otherwise we would have some activity in the concert section. So Prince tour hint, hint NY please!
