studio album will always win for me cuz i wanna hear new songs. i feel like the acoustic album will contain previously heard material for the most part. i would enjoy the acoustic album but would prefer a studio album.

GoldiLocks

couldn't an Acoustic Studio album be the best of both worlds?

chair guitar king

why not something like "The Truth?"
straight-forward songwriting from the heart w/earnest (vs."hip") lyrics ...

superman
i always thought he didn't release the Truth as its own album pussy
cause it wasn't "jazzed" or produced 'enough.'
but it remains one of my all-time favorite P albums.
i can listen to it start to finish, and i never tire of it.

i really like the idea of the next project being very diff, cause i like boxed
how Musicology, 3121 & PE make a nice trilogy studio package in time.
i look forward to his next PHASE of creative development whatever that is. neko
it would also be cool if he could clue us FAM in on the Vault status somehow ...

heck, while we're daydreaming about P's future for him, uh . . . let me seeeee crysball

how bout something really autobiographical that spans P's lifetime to date
addressing his spirituality & sexuality (separately or together) and his human evolution therein question

this would be a perfect time for him to go archival and reissue past work, even if it's stuff like chocolate invasion or xpectation.

Studio acoustic with one or two live (but still acoustic).
I like the ring of "(Track Name), Live from New York"
And at least one video like this...without the part at the end.

Definately a studio album. I could even go for a live album but sure as hell NOT a damn acoustic album. I swear, y'all are trying y'all's damndest to turn Prince into a country/western singer. I mean, damn, let Prince continue making funk (no one else does). If you want acoustic music, there are other artists out there besides Prince to satisfy your desire.

Well I loved 'The Truth' so much that a Live accoustic album sounds real good, to me in a way it was a shame that 'Truth' it was only available as part of the Crystal Ball set because as far as creativity goes probably comes high up on the list in as much as Prince' work within this last decade.
If another studio album is in line then I welcome anything raw and funky smile

I'd definitely say a Live Acoustic set, but I will take a tour down south sometime soon! I'm no where near Vegas, or England, so haven't gotten to see him in awhile. I miss his face.

Country Western, I hope not. It can be acoustic and Funk. The Funk transcends medium. It can be funk-rock with a bit of folk and still acoustic.
Anyway, I wanna see Prince get funky on This.

How about studio w/all acoustic instruments--drums, piano, guitar, horns, voices, percussion, xylophone, kazoo...

A great studio-album.

But i dont see that happen, unless he leaves the JW-movement, gets dumped in a rude way by his new girlfriend and well....finds his muse again.

Oh no, wait.

He should release a follow-up to Parade, all whimsical, fully orchestrated and un-funky....

Just to piss of Vainandy wink
