I've been his fan for 26 years and yes I understand that the man has rights, feelings and must eat like all of us, but quite simply it's really about me liking his music-nothing else. With that being said-I'm growing weary of all the latest tactics from the Prince camp. It's truly sad-there are millions of Prince fans who have supported him for years. Why go after us? I'm reconsidering my Prince fandom-sorry but I had to say it

Prince hasn't done a damned thing against me personally (but provide me with some of the most interesting music I've heard in my entire life). And when I examine the big picture, I think some people are expecting/demanding too many unrealistic things out of Prince.

Im not going to attack you, because I understand where you are coming from. A longtime prince fan myself, I have often understood how great he is and what he can acheive. Therefore I have often been let down by what I thought might not be a great record or a concert being too short etc.

But when it comes down to it, there is no one out there like Prince, and never will be again. I am actually thankful he produces and continues to produce so much music. Lately it hasnt been great, but I still listen to it and want more!! I dont know if its an addiction, but I guess I would rather be a Prince fan than say an MJ fan or a Madonna fan, etc. Those guys must be REAL disappointed! Whereas Prince keeps funkin on, producing and producing, he's out there and looking cool and producing FUNK - whether its good or bad, I wouldnt be able to lose him now - Im proud to be a Prince fan. Im sure you are just down, I cant beleive after so long a supporter of the man, you can just walk away - I beleive THAT. is impossible.

Good post, Nurse. I don't know you, but having seen so many of your posts for a while, I'm guessing you didn't come to this feeling easily. Don't listen to the negative responses too much; some people get way too overly sensitive here. And if you can't talk about this stuff honestly here, or at least at some online Prince site, where are you gonna talk about it? Besides, it's good to challenge your idols periodically and see them in different lights. I think Prince should be ashamed of himself for what he's doing (but I still love the music and probably always will).

Actually, I see your point. But you're way too far in the game now to back out, and you know it.


If you're still a fan after what Prince did to us with Graffiti Bridge, he could basically commit genocide, and you'll still on board.
