Hmm, he had the Under the Cherry Moon premiere in Sheridan , Wyoming, as the girl there won the right in a contest. Played a small set at the Holiday Inn there.

I saw him in Regina, Canada, which has a pop of 200000 or so, likely about the same size as your Shreveport. Both big enough to have a Canadian Football League team!

I know he could play Fair Park but that's in Dallas, one of the largest cities in America.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Ames, Iowa, in '88 was a pretty small town to see him in.

referring to venue more than city.
the scale of the Music Hall is quite intimate for someone as big as P.
show seemed full of hard-core fans.
i wonder, did anyone else think that tour was NOT highly promoted?

He jammed in Ames twice and also played in Cedar Rapids.

LoveSexy, Jam of the Year, and Musicology.

He's been to Moline, IL also.

The reason it wasn't promoted is cause it was a smaller venue. If he did a big promotion liek at big venues it've sold out in 1 minute. So to give the fans an equal chance you keep it quiet. Small shows are more or less for hardcore fans.
You have to get word of mouth to find out.
