(Prince Involvment)-Sheila E. "CryBaby" hey ppl,
does anyone know if prince wrote this for her? it seems obvious enough in some respects..those being it sticks out like a sore thumb on an otherwise not so great album.and its the one song that just happends to be "produced by sheila e." lol and the publishing is "sister fate music"(isnt that a pseudonym for his publishing like girl songs is?) thanks in advance.

At least part of the album was recorded at Paisley Park, and Sheila was still living in Minneapolis at the time, so maybe, but I think by that point, Sheila and Prince weren't really working together and had parted ways. That song was cowritten and coproduced by JP Charles, whom I don't know much about, but apparently he's a real musician.
I'm pretty sure Sister Fate Music is all Sheila's. She continued to use it for years; even the songs on "Writes of Passage," which Prince had nothing to do with, are credited to SFM.
