U guys who cannot stand those songs...what is wrong with yall?


Ronnie Talk 2 Russia is a very catchy funny, outrageous track. Although I didnt know what the hell he was talking about when I first heard it (I was 12).

Then so many peeps diss Wedding Feast wich is not even a song, and 2 me is another funny piece of music

I LOVE "Ronnie Talk to Russia." It was my first favorite song from "Controversy." I love how hyper and psychotic it is!

I don't hate those songs they are cute little ditties Prince wrote . They are both Supremely Off a bit you know. I dig em both. Feast is Wonderful kinda like when he did 3 Chains Of Gold.

Ronnie is a fun "punky" tune. Dated lyrics, but good none the less.

Wedding is silly, but so short that I hardly notice it. It's over before I can reach the FF button.

I don't hate Ronnie Talk To Russia at all, there's something engaging about it... however I do admit, it took me a little time (and a few listens) before I became endeared to it.

"Wedding Feast" is intentionally tongue in cheek. It's weird that so many fans take it so seriously.

It is very weird, but it’s so short, and so odd, and so ‘hey nonny nonny’, I just think it’s really cool.

Can’t be doing with ronnie talk to russia though-the lyrics are definitely crap, but I find the music just really grating. Rest of the album is cool tho.

Wedding feast is obviously an intentional joke but have 2 say it is embarrassing. This week I was cruising down to some lights with the hood down and the stereo on loud - clock a couple of chicks and am eyeing them when oncomes wedding feast - o h d e a r ! I think they thought it was Looyd Webbers new stuff and definitely thought weird...

Ronnie Talk To Russia is just outdated, thats why I don't care for it much anymore. Now Annie Christian (another somewhat hated song) is one of my Favorites off Controversy...


Wedding Feast just struck me as a segue. The more I listened to TRC the more objectionable lyrics I encountered, so I quit listening to it.

"ronnie" and "wedding feast" both rock. any of ya'll got a problem with that, u gotta answer 2 moi.

Wedding Feast is just a ditty really, I don't view it as a "song". Even then, its fun - very unusual
Ronnie just rocks, full stop.

Ronnie Talks to Russia is such a fun song. I'll never understand why it gets dogged. No it's not a serious piece of art, but sometimes you just gotta have fun with you're music.

I'm sorry but I think you might be missing the point of those two tracks. As others have said I think Wedding Feast is very much a segue and a joke, which is why Prince laughs at the end. Although it shows Prince can easily do that kind of music it isn't meant to be taken seriously, and certainly not as a song in its own right.

As for Ronnie, well, it kind of feels segue-like as well. Its purpose is more political than musical. So it doesn't really feel like a song either.

Paisley, I don't think people diss those tracks as much as
think of how funny they are in a way and how unlikely it would ever be for them to be played live. Let's also add My Little Pill to this category too.

I love the energy in "Ronnie Talk 2 Russia", and the guitar solo is a blast..."Wedding Feast" is too short to actually dislike it...lol

I have'nt heard Ronnie talk 2 Russia n a long time,but the last time I did it was'nt one of my favs. I love Wedding Feast,I think it's real cute:)

They're inoffensive enough. I don't really care for them much. I don't hate them like i hate the likes of Poom Poom. Now there is a bad song.
