Empty Room (Xenophobia Celebration)

I'm currently listening to Prince's performance of Empty Room during the 2002 Celebration. I know this song was originally written about Susannah, but do you think that this performance was directed towards his ex Mayte? I mean, he stops in the middle of the song and starts talking to the audience about lost love's and what not. And the emotions you hear vocally on this version is incredible.

Just a thought.

3 questions for Tarus:
What day did he sing Empty Room during the celebration?
Why do you have a copy of it and how do I get one?

1) I think it was the final day of the Celbration when he played it.

2) A friend of mine had it available for download on his site for awhile, but it's no longer there.

3) I don't mind sharing.. holla at me.

Yes it was definitely the final night of the Celebration. And it rocked! I wish he would play more of his vault material in concert. Can you imagine Old Friends 4 Sale or Extralovable?

Moonbeam levels is a great tune. Shouldve been on 1999 instead of Free. Ahhh man there were some great outtakes from 1981-1982. In my opinion the best era for outtakes.
