Camille is crazy How the hell does Prince get to sound like Camille? I mean it sounds like hes been sucking helium or something. I love the Camilee songs, but sometimes it does sound as if the chipmunks are doing backing vocals.
Anyone have any info on how Camille came about etc? Oh Princey if your free for a couple of hours...If you aint busy for the next 7 years...Lets Pretend were married, and go all night.. | |

I think Camille came about during the time he was recording if I was your girlfriend. I believe if you read the crystal ball album sleaves it says what happened No one plays the clarinet the way you play my heart...You're so nice. | |

Susan had nothing to do with the 'creation' of Camille. Prince had been experimenting with varispeed on his tape machine for years. Listen to the opening to 1999 and the vocal on Love or Money. Both use the same varispeed tape trick. The character of Camille was something he had been playing with since the summer of 1986, when he had an idea to pitt 'Camille' against 'The Coco Boys', in an early story incarnation of Graffiti Bridge. | |
