I would speculate that most of Prince's catalog sells a lot LESS than ELVIS', KISS', THE DEAD's, and that's because the NEVER went to war with their fans and always left them wantiing more. Most music buyers can't be bothered with Prince, and this needing for fans to write an "OPEN LETTER To Prince" is an indication why.

It's interesting to read all the different perspectives on this matter!

Whether or not one agrees or disagrees with our opinions in this case doesn't really matter, the fact that we try to put things in perspective is interesting enough by itself.

But as for me personally, I'm still not convinced whether I'm greedy (for wanting stuff Prince is reluctant to share with the world), or Prince is being naief and should just take over control and put out the jelly he's got!!

He wanted control...He's got it
He wanted freedom...He's got that too!
He has the stuff...So..indeed, in the end it's up to him what to do with it.
