On Charade Parade is called Little Girl Wendy's Parade and along with Others Here with us (which is a truly fantastically spooky song it also has: Love or Money, Heaven, All My Dreams, and Old Friends 4 Sale on it. I don't know if thats the original lyrics one though.
"Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

old friends 4 sale is incredible...the version released by warners just doesn't compare

and the vocal climax on in all my dreams is astounding

goodness will guide us, if love is inside us, the colours are brighter, the pop is much tighter, no child's a failure until love's been savoured and tears him away from his dreams

don't ever lose

that version on The Vault is god awful and makes no sense. It turned a personal masterpiece to a piece of faux blues cheese. I wish I never heard it.

im not a big fan of parade i dont think iv given it a real chance, i skimmed through only really listening to the released songs, when i listened to it, it seemed to be missing the high energy songs, sure it had kiss but i prefer charade cause it has more energetic song like little girl wendys parade, i would recommend finding charade!!!!

Personally i think "Charade" equals "Sign of the Times" as Princes masterpiece.

Dont get me wrong, i think Parade is a great album (9 out of 10) but it is a bit too short too resonate as good as it should.

With those extra tracks you have a (double)album that is very different from Sign of the Times, but equally as strong (10 out of 10).

Now now, don't say such bad things about Blue Cheese. Blue Cheese is delicious!

The version of Old Friends 4 Sale on Charade is really fantastic, I agree. The vault version does not measure up to it's awesomeness nor the awesomeness of blue-cheese.

Yes, but I prefer the Clare Fischer version of the original, which if I remember right is not the one that is on Charade.

On the topic of the post, Charade is a must own just to highlight the sheer outpouring of creativity during that period.

i read a studio list/session thing a while back from this era - i think it was in controvery or uptown magazine

the amount of music he recorded around this time is just mind boggling, and slightly frightening!

There are two versions of Old Friends 4 Sale with the orignial lyrics. The first is the one on Charade (at least on my copy), which is a sparse, mainly synth and piano driven track. The second has Clare Fischer's orchestra providing the backdrop.

Yeah its all rather slightly frightening, esp. if you consider Dream Factory, Camile, CB and Sign are yet to come, and he had already proivided DM, 1999, PR beforehand. Sometimes its great to be a Prince fan isn't it?!

Charade is a very, very old bootleg release, a lot of these tracks can be found in better quality elsewhere these days.

right, that makes sense i think...and then there's the version on the vault with different vocals and an orchestral backing, so 3 in total yes?

if so, this would answer a problem i had the other day when i was trying to find the version i liked

You're probabaly right but I guess this would be nice to get if you don't have access to the other versions of these songs.
