There`s so many bad critics of it...I ordered it and got it few days ago and 2 my big surprise I think it is a quite pleasant little number!!
I can`t and I won`t say it`s the best but I find it quite nice,chilling and interesting CD... So should I ask U guys? Why so many people hate it?

I really loved it when it was released & i still think it's a nice record. Now, since 1998 i've discovered & listened 2 many contemporary & experimental composers & in comparison, Kamasutra is good but not THAT good. It's always easy 2 b impressed by an experimental record from a pop artist when u don't know experimental music (another exemple would b Björk's "Drawing Restraint 9", which probably impressed many fans, though it might actually b Björk's weakest album.) This being said, i'd love Prince 2 do another symphonic or experimental album like this & i was very happy when he recently said he was condidering a symphony.

agree, pleasantly creative and different

I just gave Kamasutra another spin a few nights ago and I was actually kinda groovin' on it. I've heard a lot of incredibly powerful classical music, so when I first heard Kamasutra it paled in comparison....after that I never listened to it too much. But I guess now I'm warming up to it.

Its not to bad.. i like most tracks on the album..

It's boring, I much prefer real classic music.
It's his worst project ever. I'm not saying it's bad music per sé but it's just boring unexciting stuff that's nice as some shit 4 Prince 2 have in his own personal vault. But it isn't worthy of release. But that's just me.

N.E.W.S and C-Note were awesome. Xpectation was nice 2 but it kinda bordered on Kamasutra territory.

Don't get me wrong -- I love a lot of Prince's instrumental stuff. (And I own most of it -- including both Madhouse releases.)

I was just really disappointed that the whole of Kamasutra was done with synths. If I heard it as a full orchestral work, I might like it better.

But Cutz is a non-starter for me. That track reminds me of every bad haircut I've ever had. (Admittedly, I haven't had many bad haircuts. But still...)
