It seems Prince has been seen at alotof basketball event. I know he was seen at ballgames in Minniapolis. He eledgedly played a game with Charles Murphy. Atleast ta=hat guy on Comedy Central says so.

He played basketball whilst at school, he is shown playing at the end of the download video to 'The Daisy Chain', he attends games, he makes mention in lyrics:

"Style ain't sittin' court side with the owner of the team
Style is owning the court and charging 'em all a fee"

Style is the face U make on a Michael Jordan dunk"

He also played a bit of basketball on the Lovesexy tour.

To answer your question, yes, Prince loves basketball, watches a lot of games, mentions basketball quite often in his songs, namedrops players and teams, and used to play ball while at highschool. We Gets Up was supposedly about the Chicago Bulls ( I´m saying that because I have never listened to it completely....I don´t like that song).
Apparantly, he´s even very good at basketball, plays fast and aggressive...

And he used to do a couple of freethrows during the Lovesexy shows.

i love basketball too, i skinned my knee Saturday night while playing with my son, i slipped on the dirt in my driveway. The kids and i just shoot a few hoops, and thats fun.
