I liked Prince before then, but I was 16 when I saw the Lovesexy show on TV... and it changed me !!

and im still 17! Only became just before his tour started, my mate (masswells on here) went to one and cam back and told me how good it was, so i decided to go to one and after that i was hooked. Ended up going twice again (including the Final night of his tour ) and never looked back. Havent gone a day without listening to a Prince song for near enough 3 months!

I was 11 years old...it was when "Controvercy" was released. That's when I got hooked into Prince and his music...then "1999", "Purple Rain" followed and I was in awe.

But when "Around The World In A Day" hit that's when I really knew PRINCE was the TRUE GENIUS of our time. Ever since then he has not let me down musicly. I look forward to every release with great anticipation and excitement. I am in PRINCE Heaven with past releases of "Musicology", "3121" and "Planet Earth".

I remember like it was yesterday.I believe it was sometime in 1979,I was 31 .I am now 59,and still love Prince, and all that he is, and has become.

I was 16 when Prince hit our shores in the charts (when Doves Cry)..84.. from then on I was (Just Another Sucker)!just about to hit the big 40 so as you can imagine he has messed with my brain for a long time now...

I was about 8 or 9 when I started to fine interest in him it was mostly by accident because I found this tape and it was a interview he did with oprah back in 96 and I was so amazed by him that I felt embarrassed whenever his songs were playing....Now I'm 16 oh jesus christ I can't even say that with confindence....

I think (?) i was about 13/14.....my big sis was a huge Prince fan so i'd heard his music but not taken a big interest until Diamonds and Pearls came out.

LOL....me my best friend used to pretend to be Diamond and Pearl and do our hair and make up like theres and learn the dances....which looking back now isn't on.....i was 13/14...they were quite sexy dances moves!!!!!

Anyway i'll be 30 in three months and still love the lil purple one....i'm so sad theres no more concerts....that was just the best summer ever!!!!

I don't think I can put an age to this question. I was raised listening to Prince, so his music has always been a part of my life. He's considered family!

Around 20 when I started to like him in the 80's. As a diehard/crazy-in-love/there-is-no way-back-ever/is-this-really-normal? kind of fan...at age 43...

31 (1984)

I was 5 years old when i became a prince fan, my step-dad (DAD) moved into our house and he brought along CD's which we didn't have before, and i use to get home from school and put one on and dance infront of the mirror, like you do!!!
And i came across a CD, (which i later found out to be Graffiti Bridge) and put it on random, and "Thieves in the Temple" came on and i loved the line where he kicked Haha, and i've loved him ever since.

i'm 24 now and i've been lucky to see him live 3 times, my 1st concert ever was when i was 11 i went to watch gold experience tour with my dad, then i took my niece when i was 17 to manchester apollo One Night Alone Tour, then went watching him on the 7th August this year in London, where i managed to get aftershow tickets, and at the aftershow he walked to the right hand side of the stage and TOUCHED MY HAND TWICE!!! And i've been smiling ever since!!! Yeah baby x x x x x
