He's always very complimentary to other artists in his blog. I've enjoyed reading it for quite some time.
I think my Dad still has his old Maths book - they went to school together

Possibly one of the best and most observant commentaries on Prince and his tour in recent times - complainers should take note. ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

I love where he writes, "it is as if, when a performer goes to the extreme of awareness of himself as an artist, he becomes, in a way, a thing of which he cannot be aware."
This really resonates with me because it's the absolute pinnacle for an actor. You always hope you can get to the point where your self falls away and you live in the moment as your character. Where the lines aren't something that's been written, they're just the right thing to say in that situation, at that time. Very cool. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

brian's comments on witnessing
prince in concert echo mine: watching prince was like, 'watching a thunderstorm,' viewing 'living art....a thing of beauty.'

Most articles after the Super Bowl Highlight Show focused on asking the Foo Fighters what they thought of Prince's cover of their song. I wished they would have asked Queen members the same when he did "We Will Rock You" in the intro.
Also,...I remember Prince gave props to Brian May in the July 2004 issue of Guitar Player Magazine Intelligent people talk about ideas. -->Average people talk about things. --> Small people talk about other people.

That's wonderful right there. I wish I could've gone to one of these shows. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Bri says the O2 "succeeds" when it comes to sound?
I say it just "sucks" | |

Wow what a nice article. Brian said some wonderful things about Prince. Hopefully he’ll get 2 meet and jam with him one day. I hope Prince reads this article.

I was sat a few seats away from him (had to phone my Dad and tell him ) Nice to read that he enjoyed it so much. He seemed to stay sat down all night so I wasn't sure if he liked it, or perhaps he just stays sat down so he might not be noticed as much? (or perhaps people can't see over his hair?) Props to Brian May for summing it up perfectly...I love Queen!
Whatever else can be said, brotha P is truly art in motion onstage and pure magic. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I'm really impressed with Brian's critique of the performance
Very eloquent and well-spoken, I'd say he writes just as beautifully as he plays
