I think you Know my answer. But I'll allow him this. Prince please be a Sex Loon 1 more time with me and then go back to whatever the Heck you wanna do. I love him either way. The main thing is for him to be Comfortable, to be Himself, not to compromise his Beliefs. Just for Prince to be Prince. Truly if one is a Fan they would want him Happy and Support him and his Musical Direction. Stand behind him 100%. If he Never becomes Old Prince well we have his cds and records and we have his videos. Actually, why would we want OLD Anything? Isn't Newer Better? Ponder that One? I think we just wanna see him Writh Around again is what you are saying. But he's Gorgeous. He never Changed he's still same Ole Prince. Maybe some habits might be Gone . We wouldn't want that you know. And he looks Younger than ever and he's friendlier. So really he's better now and the music is Great. What's changed? Get Over the Past and that's it. Prince is still the Same Only Better! Listen, Larry and everybody in his life have been Great. Right now Fans we Have it All.Be Happy Already. We are So Lucky.

prince is just too old to be dancing, running and jumping over the stage wearing those ridiculous outfits of his. man it was cool when dude was in his prime, you know what i'm saying? but it's 2002. times change. i like the way his shows have been stripped down to only the really vital things.. the man and his music. that alone seems enough. the man has had his wild years. love him for those days. but now he's cool. so, i gotta say that at this point i prefer the new prince. (didn't really like the ONA studio album though..)

Old Prince 4 Old Folks!

That's all good to reminisce to but, it's not going to happen. His need for a spiritual change struck him..

The same people that are fascinated about his "Sex God" Persona probably secretly hate him for supposedly being "The Player" instead of loyal to his women (like they know what actually happened).

I'm tired of "Half-God" hipocrisy. Be happy for him.

Can You imagine? A "Good" Prince is The Devil to his phony fans?

Forget the sex.. It wasn't that big of a reason for his success (He figured this out).

If Prince is the only reason for your sex drive, then somethings way-wrong! Focus! Focus!

Bring back the Funk. If it's jazz, make it funky. More Madhouse.

Maybe his hormones are slowing down. I'd imagine so. After as much sex as he supposed to have participated in. It's time to pay up.

Prince is always awesome.

I've never agreed with all his beliefs but I'm always feelin the music, the voice, the dancing, the body and that gorgeous face.

I loved to watch him dance nasty and be nasty but he's gotta do what feels right when it feels right. Besides I agree with one of the earlier posts, he might get nasty again and feel the need for some bumpin' & grindin' on stage. mmm, let me go think about that for a while...

Just one thing about the Sex issue well do you really believe men gotta slow down when they get older? Can't they still do it all night? What about those Passion Pills and all the other stuff out there? I just hope and pray that men always stay Wild and Play and just forget about their ages and all. I wanna see some older guys really freak out again and stop worrying about stuff. Maybe I'm just a Nympho or something, but I can't see why older men can't do it all night long or wanna do some crazy shit and dance and Howl at the Moon so to speak? Why do you gotta slow down to the point of Stagnation or Death? No Way Ray! Get Wild! Get Freaky,Let the Head Bob! Shake that Mutherfucking do Loose!

The new Prince. He's got 25 years of experimentation and a wonderful following and career. He gets more interesting with every passing year, every new album, etc.

Old Prince by far. I hate the neo-religious-brain washed by Larry Graham bullshit that has been flowing from Paisley Park these days. I have Dirty Mind in my CD player right now and it blow away Emancipation, Rave, & TRC by a mile. Prince was funky, raw, and cutting edge back then. These days he is too worried about eating salad and following some pagen religious cult than he is worried about making serious music. Give me Dirty Mind, Controvesy, Parade, SOTT, or Gold any day!!!

i take this as referring to the more spiritual Prince vs. the more religious Prince...i think Prince has gone through many phases so we could break it down even more, but ill stick to the major transition in place...i like a little bit of each...what i like about the "old" Prince is he followed and listened to his heart (though sometimes i dont he "minded" it, since um, he was "mischievious" at times, hehe biggrin), his spirit seemed so free besides his problems with WB sad, he could be anything or anyone he wanted to be, and he didn't let other peoples' thoughts of him change or deter him in any way...it made what his music was, just look at all the phases he went through in the "old" timeframe...from the "new" Prince, i like his overt generosity and humor which he's had all along!...i like the concert-style now too...if he would combine the two, follow his his heart and "mind" it at little more this time, and display his humor and playfulness...i just want him to be himself and be completely happy...he doesnt need anyone's approval but his and God's which is between him and God only...no one else can interpret for him...as far as the music goes, it will always change which is wonderful (just like he probably will, his music is him) so i just want to be left suprised...i wouldnt mind some rock-type songs pretty soon...razz

I think it depends on when you first became a Prince fan. If it was in the 80's, like me, then you would be prone to love the "old" Prince.

Being a Prince fan, I still like the "new" Prince, but I am more attracted to the old Prince persona. I think that his older music is better. I just view him now as gracefully growing older. He would look ridiculous running around acting like a "sex-crazed" loon. He's playing music for his age bracket (every black person I know, over 40, listens to adult R & B and jazz). I see nothing wrong with it. I mean, he's not a robot...he has to grow and mature just like any living being.

one of the many reasons i love Prince's work so much is because he blends everything together. Yeah, he's more concerned with spirituality and Christianity now than ever before but he is still pretty nasty...just not as blatantly. "Wet circles around the toy while you bring yourself to joy"...that's pretty damn nasty. some of his live stuff is still a little nasty...it's just more tongue in cheek now...he's just grown up a lot.

you're worse than those you criticize if all you understand of the 'old' prince is the emphasis he placed on sex.

in addition to his 'lovesexy' tendencies, the old prince was a free thinker, an open minded propounder of religious freedom, a racially generous person and an all around fun guy. these days, his shows are less interesting for lack of choreography -(instead we get larry graham taking his shoes off onstage and tina graham mumbling to herself and waving white towels vfor fuck's sake). the new prince is relgiously narrowminded (banished ones) racially angrier (abraham lincoln) and shows less actual commitment to the music than he does to his new found belief in 'jehovah'.

yeah i love the guy's work no matter what era but gimme the old prince's mind anyday.

I miss the old Prince but have much respect for the new Prince. In my opinion his concerts were better when he actually danced more because I love the way that man moves. But as you get older you learn and get wiser. He has just mellowed out I think. To see him on the stage, whether it be the old Prince or the new, is still a treat.
