Well, every now and then my fiancee and I like to go to 'The Guitar Center' to do a little window shopping, and wishful thinking. (Really to play with all the toys! )

We walked in, and there it was right in front of me, the keyoard of all keyboards (I can't remember the name of it: Trinity, Triton, Infinity, Trinitron? Anyway, I had to lay my hands on it The first song that came to mind to play way "Young and Beautiful" So I started the catchy Bass line first with my left hand, and in my best Prince voice..."So Young and Beautiful!" My girl sang along with me, I wasn't killing the song as bad as I thought I would, it didn't sound bad. Before you knew it, I drew a little crowd. I pounded away at the keys, and sang with emotion the same way Prince seemed to in the song. When I finished I recieved a applause "Wow man, what a song!" "Did you write that...?" Those were some of the responses that I got. I quickly corrected them (I'm not getting sued "It's a Prince song from One Nite Alone CD" I was then asked where they could buy the CD. I told them you had to be a member of his club to get it (officially). "well how do I do that," they asked. So I went through all of the details, the clubs internet address, payment options, and some benefits. They seemed anxious as if they were gonna go home and actually join

I neglected to tell them that I'm not a member myself
My girl and I sat there at the bench with a few others, attempting to decipher "A Case Of U", "Here On Earth" and "Pearls B4 Swine"

It was a fun outing, I couldn't help be feel as if, I just recruited people for Prince's Club... I guess that's his intention. Word of mouth is the best advertising tool (refferrals)

You should have ended by throwing the keyboard on the floor and walking away, in true rock star fashion.

Whenever Im on Kazaa and I c some1 downloading Prince from me I send them a message and ask them if theyre in the club. One guy actually said he just liked P 4 his Purple Rain era stuff, and that he mainly liked country. I told him that he should give prince's recent music a chance. I told him about TRC, and he said when would go out later that night he would pick up the album.
