PREEMPTIVE MEASURES - Let us forcast 5 years out! So this year, I've been told one of my parody images (The Prince LoveChunky) picture can no longer be posted on prince.org (and I assume housequake at this point).
Prince is suing youtube (or rumored to), and housequake has been asked to strip various images, videos, etc. from their site. fine, fine. The problem with those actions is they're in the here and now. They being dealt with like little fires that need to be put out immediately. THAT'S NOT PLANNING PEOPLE!!! THAT'S JUST NOT PLANNING! Let us all rise to the occasion and forcast what measure's we're going to need to take in the future!!! I'll start: OK: Preemtive measure # 1) I predict that by the year 2010, we will need to stop referring to him as Prince. He'll revert back to the symbol (I won't post it here, cause by 2008 it will be illegal to post it), but he'll patent the acronym (TAFKAP) so it be illegal to pronounce it as such, and we will have to resort to using "the one who must not be named." like Lord Voldermort or some shit from the Harry Potter books (which by 2009, we will not be allowed to mention because it's against 'God', so I take grave risk in saying that). your turn.

I would like to agree with this. I really would. 
But I'll end up getting whatever he releases in that vain hope that he releases something worthy of praise again. 
These actions aren't anymore bazaar than the shit he's been pulling the last 10 years, so I'm not so sure it will loose him core fans. It certainly will 'fair weather' fans though. Oh preemptive rule #3) Do Not under any circumstances criticize Prince. The NPGMC is teaming up with Carl Rove to find new ways of punishing criticism of his work and actions. CJ will become the new 'Dixie Chicks'. | |

Preemptive measure #5) Do not even attempt to look at him for any reason. All concertgoers must be sure to have their head stuffed entirely up their ass, with their back turned before "The one who's name shall not be spoken or written" begins to play.

Pre-emptive Measure #6 - There will be no 'Fan' sites for Prince(or the one who's name should not be spoken). Because Prince wants Loyal Subjects...not Fans(who have opinions). Loyal Subjects dare not speak a bad word about there Master.

Probably (?) there are legal reasons why the following isn't a situation which could be affected by the Paisley Gestapo, but since I'm not a lawyer I don't know; I'm curious if SNL will be able to do any further "The Prince Show" sketches. Fred Armisen has stated those sketches are based in a longstanding admiration for Prince and his music and are not intended disparagingly, and while the sketches don't actually utilize any copyrighted music or photographs, they nevertheless directly use his name and elements clearly associated and identified with Prince's persona, image and career...and in a less-than-dignified manner.
Seemingly Prince had no problems in the past with "The Prince Show" but, in light of recent developments, it makes me wonder if Prince might have developed yet another ingrown hair in his nether-regions, and won't be continue being such a good sport about a sketch which purposely clowns him. | |
