I hate the excessive amount of useless bullshit threads, over here at Prince:Music & More. We could also do with a lot less picture threads. I think everyone has pretty much seen every damn picture taken of the man by now.

But out of respect, I try to act accordingly. I try to be as open-minded as I can when it comes to his work. And accept his actions as they are. There's enough negativity surrounding him among the ignorants... someone's gotta "be his champion"...

The old-school people constantly wishing that Prince would go back to his old ways and won't accept his new material as any good.

Sure, it's part of his mystique, but Prince is probably one of most misunderstood musicians around. That's why I came here, so I learn about him from people that actually know what he's all about.

I defined "the ignorants" as the general public, people that talk about Prince negatively when they don't know anything about him (call him weird, gay, etc, etc.) or that he'd done albums b4 and after Purple Rain came out.

"Cheerleading" is exhausting, but someone's gotta do it. Might as well be me.
I already stated why I came here.
But I thought this would be the last place where I'd find people who discredit Prince as much as I've seen the past day or so.
Too bad this whole YouTube didn't happen when I was away. I could have avoided the war zone this place has become.
