Question about Small Club Bootleg Hey guys, I have a question about the "Small Club" bootleg (Lovesexy aftershow). My question is regarding the tracklisting. It's listed as
Disc 1: 1. Instrumental Jam 2. DMSR 3. Just My Imagination 4. People Without 5. Housequake 6. Down Home Blues Disc 2: 1. Cold Sweat 2. Forever In My Life 3. Still Would Stand All Time 4. I'll Take You There 5. Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic 6. It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night My question is WHY are songs #5 and #6 on Disc 2 labeled that way when they sound nothing at all like Rave or Beautiful Night, in fact it's just a continuation of "I'll Take You There." And adding to my confusion...track #1 on Disc 1 is labeled as "Instrumental Jam" but that song actually DOES have Prince playing the riff of "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" throughout the song. So I guess what I'm trying to find out is if others have noticed this as well and are my observations correct or am I totally missing something? I seek the aid of my fellow purple kool-aid addicts. Thanks!

I have no idea why they did that. If it bothers you, my suggestion is to listen...rather than read. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I hear you but it's just that I'm gonna burn it on a cd and I'm not sure what to label those songs since they seem to already be mislabeled. I guess I'll figure something out but I was trying to see if anyone else had noticed this?

Thanks! [/color] Listen carefully - the lyrics are clearly Rave.
Musically, he is improvising considerably over the basic riff, and it's a lot rockier than the studio version that was released. Additionally, he introduces some arrangements from IGBABN towards the end, which is why the song is credited, but as MPLSMike says above - it's basically all Rave ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

Thanks to all of you who responded. While I had listened to the last 2 tracks of disk 2, I hadn't heard all three tracks together in their entirety until a short time ago and that helped me to see why the songs were labeled that way. Thanks Langebleu and everyone else as well.

Thanks! It's a bootleg, and bootleggers regularly put titles that are in error, Prince is no exception.

The real definition of unity is 1 People can slam their door, disagree and fight it But how U gonna love the Father but not love the Son? United States of Division"
